High detail on the 3D maps

    Sep 13, 2026
    • Terrain at the game's own resolution: the client's full 16-bit height grid, the ground painted with the game's tiling textures blended exactly as the client blends them, a 4096-px far-field composite and baked ambient occlusion.
    • A Detail control (Auto / High / Low) in the Layers menu. Auto picks High on desktops and Low on phones, small screens and data-saver connections; the choice is remembered per map. Low is the terrain you saw until today.
    • Real buildings: every house, barn, fence, wreck and rock inside the playable area is the game's own model with its own textures, instead of flat coloured boxes. The destructible highlight still works on them.
    • The map's own sky, sun and fog: each map renders under its skydome panorama, lit by its sun and ambient colours, with the client's water surface. Vegetation is unchanged for now.

Battle videos front and centre on replay pages

    Sep 13, 2026
    • A replay's rendered battle video now sits at the top of its page, ahead of the score tabs, instead of behind the last tab — with the video's title underneath, in your language where we have it.
    • Replay videos are now listed in a video sitemap with full structured data, so a search for a battle can land on the replay page itself rather than only on YouTube.
  3. Improved

3D maps load from dedicated storage

    Sep 13, 2026
    • Terrain, buildings and vegetation for all 50 maps now come from our object storage under immutable, content-addressed URLs — a map fix reaches you immediately instead of up to a day later, and repeat visits cache for a year.
    • Groundwork for a Low / High detail option: the viewer can switch quality tiers per map, and the control appears once the first high-detail map ships.
  4. Improved

Move around the 3D map with the keyboard

    Sep 12, 2026
    • WASD or the arrow keys now pan the camera, as an alternative to right-mouse drag. Movement follows where you are looking, speeds up as you zoom out, and Shift makes it faster.
    • The keys only act while the map is under your pointer, focused or expanded, so they still scroll the page otherwise.
  5. New

    Voice lines in your language

    Sep 12, 2026
    • Every commander's voice pack is now translated into all 12 site languages: 26,226 distinct lines rendered into every other locale, about 287,800 translations across 146 packs.
    • Each line shows the original transcript with the translation for your selected language beneath it — follow a Russian streamer's pack in German, or an English pack in Japanese.
    • Written by hand from the transcripts, reading through transcription errors to what the line actually says and keeping each commander's voice and references intact.
    • Fixed: one pack tagged as English is voiced in Polish and now carries English text like every other non-English pack.
  6. New

    Comeback bonus on idle profiles

    Sep 12, 2026
    • A player profile that has been quiet for 30+ days now shows a clearly labelled Wargaming link. Its owner gets the returning-player bonus — 3 days of Premium and a 50TP prototyp to try — and anyone else gets a plain play-free link.
    • Desktop only, opens in a new tab. These are affiliate links; the privacy policy has a section on exactly what is recorded when you click one.
    • The same labelled play-free link now also sits at the bottom of tank pages, beside the leaderboard on wide screens, above a commander's combat log and under the 3D map viewer — only for visitors who aren't signed in.
  7. Improved

Cookie consent and a rewritten privacy policy

    Sep 12, 2026
    • In the EEA, UK and Switzerland nothing optional is set until you choose: Customize opens a two-toggle dialog (Analytics, Advertising), Accept all takes both. Change your mind any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
    • PostHog no longer loads until analytics is allowed, and session recording is off for everyone.
    • The privacy policy now names who runs the site and how to reach us ([email protected]), and states the legal basis and retention for every kind of data we hold — public player statistics, linked Wargaming data, replays and published videos included.
    • Terms: export and account deletion are self-service from your profile; replay videos already published stay published after deletion. Minimum age is 16.
  8. New

Every voice line now says when it plays

    Sep 11, 2026
    • Each line on a commander page is labeled with the in-game situation that triggers it — Track destroyed, Ammo rack damaged, Your shell ricocheted, Battle start — in all 12 languages.
    • The situations come from the game client's own sound banks, so they are exactly what the game fires each clip for.
    • Covers every clip we hold: 38,389 lines across all 146 voice packs, 48 situations — including lines that have no transcript.
  9. New

Read what your commander is saying

    Sep 11, 2026
    • Every voice line on a commander page now shows its text next to the play button — 36,521 lines across all 146 voice packs.
    • The text comes from transcribing the audio itself, so it matches what you actually hear, in the language the pack is voiced in.
    • Where the transcription was not confident enough to be trustworthy, the line stays as its number rather than showing you a guess.
  10. Fix

Replays without battle results are refused at upload

    Sep 10, 2026
    • A replay saved before the battle ended has no results block — no damage, XP, outcome or duration — and used to upload as a page of dashes. It is now refused with an explanation: copy the file from the replays folder again once the battle is over.
    • The upload dialog now shows the actual reason a file was refused instead of a generic "couldn't parse" line.
  11. New

Every commander now has a combat log

    Sep 10, 2026
    • A commander's page now lists the battles they were actually crewing, with the same cards the replay gallery uses. "View all replays" opens the gallery filtered to them.
    • Which commander was in the tank is read out of the replay file itself, so a battle only appears once someone uploads it — most commanders will be empty until then, and the section stays hidden when it is.
  12. New

    Wotlytics in Japanese and Korean

    Sep 10, 2026
    • Two new languages, bringing the site to twelve: 日本語 and 한국어, complete across all 2,296 interface strings.
    • Tank and map descriptions are translated too. Korean vehicle text is Wargaming's own wording, straight from their encyclopedia.
    • Wargaming publishes no Japanese for World of Tanks at all, so every Japanese description here is ours — 995 vehicles and 55 maps.
  13. New

Tank and map descriptions in your language

    Sep 9, 2026
    • Tank descriptions now render in the language you are browsing in, using Wargaming's own wording rather than a translation of ours — the same text your game client shows you.
    • Covers nine of the ten site languages. Ukrainian falls back to English, because Wargaming's encyclopedia does not publish Ukrainian.
    • Map descriptions are stored per language too, ready for the same treatment.
    • Tank and map names stay untranslated on purpose: a T-34 is a T-34 in every language, and it is how you search and link to it.
  14. Improved

Tank specifications: see the whole build at a glance

    Sep 7, 2026
    • The specification builder now shows your current build on one line above the numbers: the mounted turret, gun, shell, suspension and engine, the three equipment pieces, crew perks, field modifications, camouflage and experimental nodes. Before, each of those was only visible on its own tab, so knowing what a build contained meant clicking through all of them. Each group in the line opens the tab that changes it.
    • The controls are simpler: the two loadouts are now Build A and Build B, Base and Effective explain themselves on hover, and the share link and reset moved into a single menu instead of two more buttons in the row.
  15. Fix

Vehicle list: one row of filters, and silhouettes that load

    Sep 7, 2026
    • The vehicle list's filters — tier, type, nation, role, loader, 3-mark, traits, source — are now a single row of dropdowns, as on the stat list, instead of eight stacked rows of buttons that filled the whole first screen. Each dropdown reads its facet name until something is picked, then the pick.
    • The ledger view's tank silhouettes had been broken images: Wargaming serves them over plain http and the image optimizer refuses that. They load again, and the same fix covers the player page's recent battles, live session and progression lists, and the compare page.
  16. Improved

Commanders open in a different order every time

    Sep 7, 2026
    • A Random toggle beside the Source filters, on by default, reshuffles the commander roster each time you switch it on, so the same faces are not always at the top. Turn it off for plain alphabetical order.
    • The commanders page opens with a full-width header intro instead of a narrow capped column.
  17. New

Map pages show the latest battles fought there

    Sep 7, 2026
    • Every map page now carries the three newest replays fought on it, between the 3D panel and the video strip, as the same cards the replay gallery uses. "View all replays" opens the gallery already filtered to that map.
    • Maps nobody has uploaded a replay for show nothing rather than an empty box; 16 of the 59 maps are in that position today.
  18. New

Stat list: rank every vehicle by any single number

    Sep 7, 2026
    • A new Stat list section answers the question the vehicle index never could: which tank is best at this one thing? Pick a statistic — damage per minute, penetration, view range, camouflage, armour, top speed, gun depression, one of thirty — and every vehicle in the game re-orders by it.
    • Each card shows the chosen number highlighted, surrounded by the ones that belong with it: pick a gun stat and you get the gun's block, pick camouflage and you get the hull's. Reload and aim time sort fastest-first without you having to think about direction.
    • Filter by tier, class, and whether a vehicle is tech tree, premium or collector, and search by name. The shell selector switches penetration, damage, velocity, module damage and explosion radius between AP, APCR, HEAT and HE; guns without the round you picked say so rather than showing the wrong number.
    • Everything happens in the page with no reloading, and the address bar carries the full view, so a ranking can be shared exactly as you left it.
    • The filters sit in a single row of dropdowns rather than stacked rows of buttons, so the vehicles themselves start near the top of the screen.
    • The stat picker shows each statistic's icon beside its name, the same icon the cards use, both in the open list and once chosen.
  19. Improved

Search answers instantly, and filters cost one click

    Sep 7, 2026
    • Short queries were the slow ones: two or three letters made the database read every player row we have before it could answer, so a quarter of all searches took nine to eleven seconds. Those now match the start of a nickname through a dedicated index and come back in milliseconds; four letters or more still match anywhere in the name, as before. Clan search got the same treatment.
    • Searching for someone we have never seen used to wait while their full profile was pulled from Wargaming, one account at a time. The name now appears immediately and the profile is fetched in the background, ready by the time you open it.
    • Both the quick-search palette and the search page now cancel the request they have already sent when you keep typing, and keep the current results on screen instead of blanking the list between keystrokes.
    • Filtering the vehicle list does half the work: every filter click used to fetch the page twice and pre-load all thirty vehicle cards on it. It now costs a single fetch, and a card is loaded when you actually click it.
  20. Improved

Map pages point at the 3D terrain

    Sep 7, 2026
    • The 3D view was only advertised by a tab, easy to read past on the way to the map guides. Maps that have one now carry a panel above Video Intel linking straight to it.
    • The minimap at the top of a map page is noticeably bigger — big enough to read grid squares off, which is what people open it for.
  21. Fix

Replay thumbnails no longer show a grey tile

    Sep 7, 2026
    • When a video is unlisted, still processing or gone, YouTube answers with its own grey play-button placeholder instead of an error, so replay cards and rows painted that rather than falling back. Those now show the Wotlytics mark until a real frame exists, and pick the frame up on their own once the video is public.
  22. New

    Equipment, consumables and directives catalog

    Sep 6, 2026
    • A new section lists every piece of equipment, experimental equipment, consumable and directive in the game, taken straight from the current client. Filter by type and by slot, or search by name.
    • Each item gets its own page with what it changes at every version (standard, bounty and improved), the stronger numbers it gets in a matching slot, what it costs in credits or bonds, which vehicle classes can mount it and how much it weighs. Directives link to the equipment they improve, and back again.
  23. Improved

Map tabs, linkable tank sections, all 28 Tier XI abilities

    Sep 6, 2026
    • Every map page now opens with a tab bar under its title. Overview keeps the minimap, the description and the map guides; 3D Terrain opens the terrain viewer in place, where the old "View in 3D" pill used to send you to a separate page. Each tab has its own address, so /maps/abbey/3d can be shared and the back button switches tabs. The separate 3D maps link is gone from the sidebar, though the listing keeps its address for anyone who bookmarked it.
    • Tank pages got linkable sections and a breadcrumb running head: the section bar sits above the vehicle card and opens with an Overview tab that returns to it, its entries are real links — /tank/e-100/#armor lands on the armor schema — and the page now opens with the Tanks › nation › vehicle trail instead of a caption under the header.
    • The Tier XI abilities page was missing the six vehicles that have shipped since it was written. BV-111, CAV mod. 71, Ho-Ri Shugo, Pz.Kpfw. Neu, Vz. 63P and WZ-219 now each carry their mechanic, its in-game icon and a plain description of what it does. Their upgrade webs also render on the vehicle pages for the first time.
    • The footer's social row now links the Wotlytics Facebook page alongside YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
  24. Improved

Vehicle history now covers every update since 1.0

    Sep 5, 2026
    • The History section on each tank page previously only knew about the handful of recent builds we had snapshots of. It now draws on archived game specifications compared build by build across the whole 1.x and 2.x timeline, so a Leopard 1 shows its 1.5.1 gun rework and the 1.13 HE changes, not just what moved last month.
    • Micropatches and hotfixes (1.5.0.4, 2.3.1.3 and the like) are now real entries in the update registry, so each update says exactly which build it was compared with, and the Balance Patches index lists them too.
    • Per-shell changes are labelled by shell (standard, premium, HE), so a premium-round buff no longer reads as a change to the vehicle's own damage. Beyond the five stat areas, each update also shows changes to special mechanics (autoloader, siege mode, stun), the top configuration, the economy (vehicle and shell prices) and general details such as name, tier or crew layout.
  25. Improved

Sign-in says what it does with your credentials

    Sep 5, 2026
    • The sign-in form now carries a short note: Wotlytics never asks for or stores a password. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, a passkey that stays on your device, or your Wargaming account — and the Wargaming sign-in happens on Wargaming's own site, so those credentials never reach us.
  26. New

Tank pages: History, and a real build planner

    Sep 3, 2026
    • The Changelog section on each tank page is now History: a timeline of game updates, each one saying what it was compared with, with every changed stat grouped by Firepower, Mobility, Survivability, Spotting and Concealment, shown as old to new with its unit and a buff, nerf or changed badge.
    • The Specifications section became a build planner. Pick any turret, gun, shell, suspension, engine and radio the vehicle can actually mount, then equipment, consumables, a directive, crew perks, field modifications and camouflage, and read the whole specification sheet next to it. Equipment slots matter — a vehicle's bonus slot gives a matching piece its stronger value, and the planner shows which slot that is.
    • Every number, down to shell gravity and the per-slot autoreloader times, is read from the game's own files. You can build two loadouts side by side and compare them line by line, switch between base and effective values, share a build with one link, and the setup you were working on is remembered per vehicle.
  27. Improved

Leaderboards: WNX boards for everyone, rebuilt in minutes

    Sep 3, 2026
    • The WNX leaderboards ranked only tracked players and took about 90 minutes each to rebuild, which kept the daily leaderboard refresh running most of the day. WNX is now scored the same way as WN8 and the other metrics — over every active account on the server, in one pass — so the 1d/3d/7d/30d/60d WNX boards cover the whole server and the whole refresh finishes in minutes.
    • A refresh that gets interrupted no longer starts over: boards already built today are kept.
  28. Fix

3D maps: the real terrain, and a guided tour

    Sep 2, 2026
    • Trees, bushes and buildings floated above the ground — or sank into it — on many maps: Oyster Bay hovered 27 m up, Karelia sat 55 m too high, Sweden 51 m too low. The heights came from the game's coarse preview layer, which is simply wrong on about half the maps. Every map is now built from the game's own detailed terrain, the surface the client renders. Checked against the position of every plant on every map: within half a metre almost everywhere.
    • Oyster Bay's stone obelisks and flat-topped blocks are gone with it; Czech had moved 100 m in a client update and was still drawn from the old build — refreshed.
    • A step-by-step tour: the first time you open a 3D map, six short steps walk you over the actual controls — camera, the Layers menu, markers, the vision modes, tanks, the view buttons — opening each panel as it goes, then ask whether you want the five advanced steps (hover readout, shared sessions, commander tools, extra layers, shortcuts). Shows once per browser; replay it any time from the ? button. Arrow keys step, Esc closes.
  29. New

3D maps: bases, rocks and a search box

    Sep 2, 2026
    • Capture circles, control points and spawn positions are drawn on the terrain for every map, read from the game's own arena definitions — Standard battle plus Encounter, Assault and Onslaught where the map hosts them, each labelled with its mode. A Bases toggle in the Layers menu hides them.
    • Rocks, boulders and cliff props are back. They had never been exported (the game files them under 'environment', which the extractor treated as scenery), so every map showed open ground where the cover stands. They are drawn with their real shapes and block line of sight in the vision tools. Small scatter stones stay out.
    • The 3D map listing has a search box — accent-insensitive, matches name or season.
  30. Fix

Pages that errored instead of loading

    Aug 19, 2026
    • Tank lists, tank pages and player pages intermittently showed an error instead of their content. The site's own page-rendering requests were being counted as though one visitor were hammering the API, so once that allowance ran out the pages themselves were refused.
    • Page rendering no longer counts against a visitor's allowance. The protection against genuine abuse from outside is unchanged.
  31. New

    Replays: a list view

    Aug 18, 2026
    • The replays archive can now be shown as a list instead of cards — the map and the tank side by side, then damage, WN8, kills, assist, blocked damage and XP as labelled columns you can compare straight down the page. Roughly twice as many battles fit on a screen.
    • Damage is still shaded against what that tank normally does, and WN8 against its own scale, so a big number on a small tank still reads as a big number.
    • Your choice of cards or list is remembered and applies to your own uploads too. Cards stay the default.
    • Blocked damage and the mastery badge now show on every row in the archive, not just inside a replay.
    • Rows for replays that have been rendered to video lead with a frame of that video; the rest show the map and the vehicle.
    • New sorts: Kills, Assist, Likes and Views, alongside Newest, Damage, WN8 and XP.
  32. Improved

    Contacts, colour-coded by skill

    Aug 16, 2026
    • Friends we'd never seen before showed no rating at all; they're now picked up in the background after a refresh, so the contact list fills in with real numbers instead of blanks.
    • Contacts are colour-coded by WN8 — friends and blocked alike — with each player's rating beside their name. Players we haven't rated yet stay neutral rather than being shown as bad.
  33. Fix

    Search, discovery and profile fixes

    Aug 16, 2026
    • Player names in the ⌘K quick search were shouted in capitals — the group heading's styling was leaking onto the results beneath it. Names now show exactly as they are in game.
    • Premium status claimed 'No' even with Premium and WoT Plus active. Wargaming's API has no working subscription field, so the card now says the status isn't available rather than stating something untrue.
    • Players who were missing from search and stats: Wargaming's name search quietly truncates long result lists, and our crawler only dug deeper on a completely full page — on one prefix alone that hid 72 real players. It now digs deeper whenever a list comes back near the limit.
    • Recent stats on freshly-discovered players had silently stopped seeding, so brand-new profiles showed nothing at all. Restored, so a player you look up for the first time has numbers straight away.
  34. Improved

    Tank Performance: fuller table

    Aug 15, 2026
    • Pen% (share of landed shots that penetrate) now collected and shown. It starts empty and fills in as snapshots accumulate — a blank means 'not measured yet', never 0%.
    • Player WR and WR Diff: the average winrate of the players who actually drive each tank, and how much better (green) or worse (red) the tank wins than its own drivers usually do.
    • New columns the data already had — Assist, Hit%, Spots and Players — plus a nation filter and an 'Average of selection' row that summarises whatever you've filtered to, battle-weighted.
    • A minimum-battles floor (30/100/200 by period, adjustable) instead of listing tanks with a handful of battles whose winrates read as fact.
    • EU and ASIA are marked work in progress: those numbers come from tracked players only, while NA is complete server-wide.
  35. New

Balance patches: what changed, tank by tank

    Aug 15, 2026
    • New Balance Patches section (/patches): pick a patch and see every vehicle it touched, with the exact before-and-after for damage, penetration, DPM, armour, mobility, view range and camo — buffs in green, nerfs in red, biggest reworks first.
    • Each tank page's Balance changelog now fills from the same data, covering 2.3.1 → 2.4 Public Test (37 vehicles changed).
  36. New

    Your Wargaming account, in full

    Aug 15, 2026
    • A 'My account' tab on your own player profile: resources (gold, credits, free XP, bonds), premium status, account restrictions, active boosters, your full garage (searchable, sorted by tier) and your contacts. Only you can see it — it never appears to other visitors.
    • The data stays up to date on its own instead of freezing at login: it refreshes in the background when stale, with a Refresh button and an 'updated X ago' stamp. If your Wargaming session expires, the tab says so and offers one-click sign-in.
    • Contacts moved above the garage and now cover friends, blocked, muted and ignored players, switchable, each linking to their player page.
    • Fixed: private account data had silently stopped updating, the reserves panel listed long-spent boosters as 'active', and resources now use the real in-game icons.
  37. Improved

    Mechanics manual, chaptered

    Aug 14, 2026
    • The Game Mechanics field manual is now three pages with their own Mechanics section in the sidebar — Gunnery, Spotting & camo, and Tier XI abilities. /mechanics is a chapter index.
    • The ammunition icons in the Shell types section showed the wrong shell render; they now use the same official AP/APCR/HEAT/HE icons as the rest of the site.
  38. New

    Game Mechanics field manual

    Aug 14, 2026
    • New Game Mechanics page (/mechanics): shell types with in-game ammo art, penetration rules (normalization, ricochet, overmatch, effective armor) with original diagrams, the ±25% roll and range falloff, an all-new spotting & concealment chapter, and the Tier XI dossier.
    • The Statistics Reference page is back to pure stat definitions, with a pointer link to the new page.
  39. New

    Tier XI special mechanics

    Aug 14, 2026
    • All 22 released Tier XI vehicles grouped by class, each with its in-game ability icon, a link to its tank page, and a short field-manual summary of its unique mechanic.
    • The shell-mechanics table now shows the official shell-type icons next to AP / APCR / HEAT / HE.
  40. New

    Shell mechanics explained

    Aug 14, 2026
    • New Shell mechanics section on the Statistics Reference page: per-shell normalization and ricochet angles, the 3-caliber overmatch rule, the 2-caliber normalization boost, the ±25% penetration roll, penetration falloff over distance, and the Polish TDs' deep-rifled damage falloff.
    • The 3D armor inspector now shows the selected shell type's normalization and ricochet constants right under the shell-type selector.
    • Removed the star Rating filter on the Tanks page — the 1-5 star meta rating itself still shows on tank cards and the ratings board.
  41. Data

    Supertest previews

    Aug 14, 2026
    • Upcoming vehicles, before they release: the tank index now includes unreleased vehicles from testing — the whole 2.4 Common Test batch (including the new German heavy line) plus current Supertest vehicles like the Object Veles, Kolczatka and M47 Chevalier.
    • They carry a red Supertest badge — stats may change before release — and the badge disappears automatically the day a tank goes live.
  42. Improved

    Replay page polish

    Aug 13, 2026
    • The replay-folder path on the Replays page now shows the install folder for the region you have selected (NA/EU/ASIA) instead of always _EU.
    • Every replay card now has a thumbnail area — the video preview when one exists, the Wotlytics mark otherwise — so the grid keeps a consistent shape.
    • Restored replay video thumbnails and analytics that the new security policy had briefly blocked.
  43. Improved

Error handling, loading screens, keyboard sorting

    Aug 12, 2026
    • When a panel fails to load (tank top players, tank economics, game modes), the site now says so and offers a Retry button instead of quietly showing 'no data'.
    • Loading screens on the heavier pages (Tank Stats, Tank Performance, Compare, Replays, Videos, Maps, War Room) so navigation no longer flashes a blank page.
    • Table sorting is now fully keyboard-accessible: every sortable column header can be focused with Tab and toggled with Enter/Space, across all the big stat tables.
    • Faster, safer sign-in under the hood: session credentials moved out of browser storage into a secure httpOnly cookie, and sign-out properly revokes the session server-side.
  44. Improved

    Community-tested build presets

    Aug 12, 2026
    • The build presets (Best DPM, Most Accurate, Fastest, Best View, Best Camo, Survivable, Best Agility) now fill from the actual loadouts strong players run on each tank — real, community-tested builds across 500+ tanks — falling back to the optimizer where a tank has no tested build for a goal.
    • This also removes illegal picks, e.g. a Vertical Stabilizer on turretless tank destroyers that can't mount one.
    • Added the Commander's Vision System equipment (reduces enemy concealment), so vision builds that run it display and read correctly, with new 'enemy cover' rows.
  45. Improved

    Accurate build presets

    Aug 12, 2026
    • The crew model was corrected so Improved Ventilation and Brothers in Arms boost firepower, aim and view — not just camo; Improved Aiming now tightens the aiming circle (not aim time), with Enhanced Gun Laying Drive added as the aim-time device. Best DPM now lands Gun Rammer · Vertical Stabilizer · Improved Ventilation, as the meta does.
    • Every preset was audited across all 500+ tier 8–11 tanks: Most Accurate builds Improved Aiming · Vertical Stabilizer · Improved Ventilation, and Survivable models Improved Hardening + Spall Liner and builds the real durability trio instead of padding with firepower.
    • The stat table gained a Health bonus and an HE/ram-protection readout so those pieces' effects are visible.
  46. New

    Wotlytics is on Discord

    Aug 11, 2026
    • Join from the link in the site footer. New replays you upload auto-post a card to the #latest-replays feed (tank, map, result, damage, WN8, link), and each release is announced in #changelog.

    Commander bios

    Aug 11, 2026
    • Every commander page now opens with a short bio of who the character or person actually is — from the Peaky Blinders' Ada Thorne to streamer QuickyBaby to Arnold Schwarzenegger — followed by how they were obtained in game. 149 bios, one per commander.

    Voice player fix

    Aug 11, 2026
    • Commander voice lines no longer keep playing after you leave the page — navigating away hard-stops audio and cancels Auto-continue.

    Faster galleries & detail pages

    Aug 11, 2026
    • Commander portraits, map minimaps and tank silhouettes are served as resized AVIF/WebP through the image optimizer instead of full-size originals — gallery pages load several times lighter, especially on mobile.
    • Tank and map detail pages are cached between visitors (ISR) instead of being re-rendered on every request — repeat views answer in milliseconds.
    • The Tanks grid loads 30 vehicles per page by default (60/120/240 still selectable), halving the initial page weight.

    Commander Voices Explorer

    Aug 10, 2026
    • New Commander Voices section: every special WoT commander — Battle Pass heroes, event crews, blogger cameos and collab characters — in one browsable gallery.
    • Every commander page shows their portrait, which event or campaign they came from, and every distinct in-game voice line, playable right in the browser.
    • Play Random and Auto-continue keep the lines rolling — tens of thousands of voice clips extracted straight from the game client.

Real trees & destructible cover in the 3D Inspector

    Aug 10, 2026
    • Vegetation now renders as billboards baked from the game's actual tree models and textures, at true in-game sizes.
    • Cover a tank can demolish (wooden houses, fences, sheds) renders in wood tones, with an amber Destructibles highlight toggle in the Layers menu.

    3D Battlefield Inspector

    Jul 17, 2026v2.3.1.0
    • Every standard map reconstructed in 3D from the game client — terrain elevation, man-made cover, vegetation and real building meshes.
    • Orbit / fly the camera, drop tank models and rotate the hull, turret and gun.
    • Mark a position to see exactly what it can and cannot spot, using the game's real spotting model (view range, camo, bushes, hard cover).
    • Expand the viewer to fill the tab or go fullscreen for a bigger view.
    • Start a shared session to run live tactics on the 3D map — ping, draw arrows and routes, drop unit markers and text; everyone with the link sees the board update live.
    • Discoverable from the new 3D Maps gallery, a Theatre nav entry, and a 3D badge on maps that support it.

    • Earned medals rendered with their real in-game icons, and epic medals showcased in the result banner.
    • Map artwork background behind the 2D viewer, likes and battle counters on each replay.
    • Replays can be turned into a shareable rendered video via a background render-worker pipeline.
