Wykrywanie i maskowanie

Zasady, które decydują, kto kogo widzi — i jak długo. To, co pojawia się na ekranie, określają trzy różne odległości, a wartość maskowania decyduje, jak głęboko w nie musi wjechać przeciwnik, zanim zostanie wykryty.

01 · WYKRYWANIE I WIDOCZNOŚĆALL DISTANCES IN METERS

To, co widzisz, określają trzy różne odległości: zasięg widzenia, zasięg wykrycia konkretnego celu oraz zasięg renderowania. Są powiązane, ale to nie to samo — a tylko jedna z nich znajduje się w karcie statystyk.

View range

base view range × crew / equipment / skill modifiers

The distance your tank could see, driven by the commander, ventilation, optics or binoculars, and directives. There is no hard cap on the number itself — view range above 445 m still pays off, because the surplus feeds the camo equation below and strips concealment from hidden targets.

Spotting range

spotting range = min(445, viewRange − (viewRange − 50) × camoFactor)

The distance at which a specific enemy actually lights up for you. Their camouflage shrinks it below your view range, and whatever the math says, it is hard-capped at 445 m — no tank ever spots another beyond that.

Render range

spotted vehicles drawn out to 564 m

Vehicles your team has spotted are only drawn for you out to 564 m. Beyond that, even a spotted tank isn't rendered on your client — you'll see its shells and tracers but not the hull. This is why redline snipers seem to fire from nowhere.

50 m proximity spot

distance ≤ 50 m → spotted, always

Any enemy within 50 m is spotted automatically — straight through hills, buildings, and bushes. No camo value or line of sight matters inside this bubble, which is what makes face-hugging brawls and bush drive-bys immediately visible.

Visibility checkpoints

Spotting checks trace lines from your two view-range ports (the gun and the commander's hatch) to six checkpoints on the target's hull and turret. One unobstructed line within spotting range is enough. Checks run rapidly at close range but only about every two seconds near maximum range — which is why distant tanks seem to “blink” in and out.

Sixth sense

The commander perk that lights the bulb when you've been spotted — three seconds after it actually happened, so a fast enemy may already have fired. The lamp stays lit for ten seconds; when it goes dark you may still be spotted if a check re-lights you.

SPOTTING EQUATION445 M HARD CAP
spottingRange = viewRange − (viewRange − 50) × camoFactor

spotted if distance ≤ min(445, spottingRange)
always if distance ≤ 50
rendered if distance ≤ 564 (once spotted)

camoFactor 0 → wykrywasz przeciwnika na pełnym zasięgu widzenia. camoFactor 1 → pojawi się dopiero w bańce bliskiego kontaktu o promieniu 50 m.

RANGE RINGSTOP-DOWN

Ranges to scale relative to each other. A well-camouflaged target shrinks your effective spotting circle well inside the 445 m cap.

02 · MASKOWANIECAMO SYSTEM

Camo factor

Every vehicle has a base concealment value set by its size and class — small tanks, TDs, and lights are naturally sneaky, heavies and SPGs are not. That value feeds directly into the spotting equation: the higher your camo factor, the closer an enemy must come before you light up.

Stationary vs moving

Driving or turning the hull cuts concealment for most classes to a fraction of the stationary value. Light tanks are the exception: they keep their full stationary camo on the move — the mechanical foundation of active scouting. Rotating the turret alone costs nothing.

Firing penalty

Firing slashes your camo massively for a few seconds, scaled by the gun's caliber and muzzle devices — big tank-destroyer guns drop to nearly zero. This is why a hidden TD is usually spotted on its second shot from the same bush, if not the first.

The 15 m bush rule

bush ≥ 15 m away → keeps full camo even when you fire

A bush closer than 15 m turns transparent when you zoom in and gives only reduced concealment when you fire through it. Pull back at least 15 m and the bush keeps its full camo bonus even while you fire — the single most important trick for sniping tank destroyers.

Double-bushing

Bushes stack. If the sightline from the enemy to you crosses two or more bushes, their camo values add up — parking behind a second bush 15 m behind your firing bush keeps you dark even through the firing penalty.

Foliage & environment

Every bush and tree crown on the line between the enemy's view ports and your visibility checkpoints adds its concealment to yours. Felled trees count too — dropping a tree in front of your position creates cover the spotting system respects.

THE 15 M RULE

Sit at least 15 m behind a bush and it keeps its full concealment bonus even when you fire. Pressed into it, the bush thins out the moment you shoot or aim.
